Vectorising
An image without pixels is called a vector. This can be scaled infinitely and always keep its detail.
A lot of printed items these days look pixelated and blurry.
This is because when artwork i created and supplied, images were sent over as the standard JPEG and PNGs, and when scaled to size, these don’t look great.
In order to get round these, we use a process of vectorising images. This means converting the images into vectors, essentially images that are not made up of pixels, but rather ‘data’.
This essentially just means that they are crisp and clear, and can be scaled infinitely whilst maintaining their sharpness.
This looks so much better when using your business logo for example, maybe you get a vinyl adhesive sticker for your van, but you also want it printed on a pen – you can use the same vectorised file for both.
With software and precise eyes, we can vectorise a wide variety of images and artwork.
